Viral tagging

Mária Džunková is a post-doctoral researcher working on the “viral tagging project”. Her objective is to identy the pairs of fluorescently tagged bacteriophages and their bacterial hosts by the usage fluorescence activated cells sorting followed by the DNA sequencing. The results will shed light on links between viruses and hosts in the evolutionary “tree of life”.
